​Kaleidoscope Youth Theatre, a project of The Summit Playhouse, is an educational and community service providing quality drama for and by youth since 1993. Having staged over 40 youth productions, Kaleidoscope offers young people experience in all aspects of the theatre -- acting, directing, costuming, set design, stage management, lighting and sound -- with Playhouse regulars acting as mentors to our young artists. Kaleidoscope is committed to serving the community,  embracing volunteerism, and working together as a team on our productions.

Once Upon a Mattress Youth Edition 
For performers finishing grades 4 - 8

VIDEO AUDITIONS DUE March 21st.
In-person callbacks will be held on Sunday, April 6. 

• Performances: June 26, 27, 28* & 29* (* = Matinee and Evening. Production may be double cast, meaning at least 3 shows per performer. You must be available for all performances.)
• Rehearsals Monday through Friday, 4:00-6:30, beginning May 12. You will only be called for rehearsal when you are needed.  
• Mandatory Tech Week will be June 19, 20, 23, 24 & 25.  Rehearsals may start earlier these days. 
• There is a participation fee of $225 if cast. (This includes a cast t-shirt. A video recording will not be available due to licensing restrictions). 

Please fill out this Audition Form. Items to be uploaded to the form include:

1. Video of a one-minute cut of a musical theatre song in the style of the show that best shows off you! Songs should be performed with accompaniment (recorded piano accompaniment or karaoke tracks are great!). Please state your name and title of your audition song at the beginning of the video.
2. Video of you acting. Choose one of the sides from here and read for one role. You can look at the casting breakdown for specific roles you may be interested in. Show us your best character! You may ask someone else to read the other parts off-camera. Please state your name and the role you are reading at the beginning of the video. Please note you will be considered for other roles as well as the one you read for.  
3. Headshot:  Any clear photo of yourself is acceptable; it does not have to be professional.
4. Resume if you have one, or prepare to include details of past dance and theater experience in response to questions on the form.
