Celebrating over 100 Years of Theatre

The Summit Playhouse, founded in 1918, is NJ’s oldest continuously running community theatre. Our season consists of three main stage plays, several youth productions, theatrical workshops and community collaborations. Each production benefits a local outreach, and each year a theater arts award is presented to two high school seniors. Our home, built in 1891, is listed on the National Registry of Historic Buildings.

Tickets are not required - donations are greatly appreciated in support of The Summit Playhouse.

Join us for our outdoor, socially-distanced cabaret featuring talented Summit Playhouse teen performers and a live band. Featuring songs from smash-hit Broadway shows, this can't-miss performance is fun for the whole family! While Broadway is currently closed, come and join us for this live theatrical event, celebrating community and songs from your favorite shows!

Audience members must wear masks and bring their own chairs. Please follow local parking rules. Parking for this event at the Summit Public Library lot is prohibited.

The Women will now be part of our 2020-2021 season and will plan to run October 30-November 14.
