A DOLL'S HOUSE PART 2

By Lucas Hnath
Directed by Gordon Wiener

In the final scene of Ibsen’s 1879 ground-breaking masterwork, Nora Helmer makes the shocking decision to leave her husband and children and begin a life on her own. A Doll’s House, Part 2 dares to wonder what Ibsen’s Nora has been up to since she slammed the door. Called “the best play of the year” by The New York Times, it explores the emotional chaos that results when Nora returns 15 years later to the family she left behind. “An explosive new play,” says The Hollywood Reporter.

This enduring tale of hope captures the claustrophobic realities of eight people hiding from the Nazis in a concealed storage attic in war-torn Amsterdam. THE WOMEN
By Clare Boothe Luce
Directed by George Seylaz

Set in the 1930s in the glamorous Park Avenue world of New York City,  this satirical, all-woman play illuminates the pampered lives and power struggles of various wealthy Manhattan socialites and the gossip that propels and damages their relationships. The Women is filled with razor-sharp dialogue and social commentary particular to its time, but its themes -- marriage and divorce, socio-economic class, female friendship, standards of beauty and the role of women in society -- remain stunningly relevant today.
